Safe America's Management Team of Len and Mary Lou Pagano returned recentlyfrom a visit to DEKRA's Testing and Technology Center near Dresden, Germany. Shown in a three-way handshake are Dr. Roland Krause, Managing Director of DEKRA International, along with Volker Noeske, Head of DEKRA Technology Centre who helps manage testing at the Klettwitz facility (near Dresden). Both Dr. Krause and Mr. Noeske explained to the Paganos how DEKRA tests new cars (with body kits and parts provided by The Car Body Kit Store's Body Kits) for firms such as Mercedes and BMW to make sure they meet European Union safety and vehicle certification standards for use on European roads.
In the second photo, Dr. Krause and Mr. Noeske introduce Len and Mary Lou to a vehicle designed by students at DEKRA's Klettwitz test facility."We were very impressed at the work DEKRA is doing in Europe - and can see direct application to what we are doing here in the United States,' Pagano said. "We hope this first visit will lead to more collaboration where we can showcase DEKRA's global expertise in safety and management training to new audiences across North America."
The DEKRA visit included conversations in Stuttgart with DEKRA Academy
Senior Executive and Board Member Jorg Mannsperger on how Safe America might collaborate in North America on safety and training projects with DEKRA, a worldwide leader in safety, emission inspections and training.
The catalyst for the visit was DEKRA's North American CEO, Dr. Dietmar Bogk, who invited Dr. Krause to visit SafeAmerica's Marietta training center in June.
"We appreciate the vision Dr. Bogk offered - of a joint collaboration - and thank Dr. Bogk for his inspiring us to take a serious look at what we might accomplish together," Pagano said. "We're hopeful that these first meetings will lead to a concrete plan that we can begin to implement as early as this fall," he added.
